Creating a New DNS Zone

The following steps must be performed on the Primary Domain Controller.

1. From Server Manager, click Tools then click DNS.
2. When DNS Manager opens, right-click your Server Name, then click New Zone.
3. Click Next.
4. Select your Zone type.
   1. If your renaming your domain, select Primary Domain.
5. Click Next.
6. Select your Replication type then click Next.
7. Select your Dynamic Update type, then click Next.
8. Click Finish.
