Setup Devices to Email Using SMTP Auth

Microsoft has sunset the SMTP AUTH functionality, but in its place, they have provided a service that enables SMTP AUTH connections for sending emails to internal users. In practice, this would be used for internal systems such payroll/benefits, financial software, copiers, scanners, helpdesk, and network monitoring solutions. High Volume Email accounts cannot email externally.

Create a High Volume Email (HVE) email accounts

1. Navigate to https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/highvolumeemail
2. Click Add an HVE account.
3. Fill out the basic information form, then click Next.
4. Click Finish.
